We are looking for an organised and creative Recruiter to join our Recruitment & Retention team.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver innovative recruitment solutions to North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service. Our Recruitment & Retention team are passionate, forward thinking and thrive on providing a seamless & exceptional service for attraction, selection and onboarding.
As a Recruiter you will be responsible for delivering resourcing strategies for both high volume and specialist roles, managing the full recruitment lifecycle for internal and external vacancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with Hiring Managers to design and implement bespoke talent attraction strategies.
- Creating end of campaign reports to understand and analyse the effectiveness of your attraction strategy.
- Understanding current and future business needs to ensure a pro-active approach towards demand.
- Engagement with active and passive candidates, remaining up to date with market insights and maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
- Utilising various attraction tools such as job boards, social media, websites, CV searching and events to attract internal and external applicants. Ensuring attraction strategies are in line with our corporate brand & EVP.
- Working in conjunction with Inclusion & Diversity colleagues to improve diversity and ensure a fair, inclusive, and transparent approach to attraction and selection.
- Providing expert advice to hiring managers on a range of innovative assessment tools and techniques.
The role of a Recruiter is fast paced, challenging, and highly rewarding. A proactive and solutions focused approach is essential, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines and priorities, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. As a professional in-house Recruiter, you will be able demonstrate your experience in sourcing, attracting, assessing and onboarding across multi-discipline hires. You’ll have a natural flair for content creation to support our attraction strategies via social media and our advertising. Finally, you’ll be a natural team player – having the ability to work alone, and step in and support the wider team when demand requires.
Applicants should have recruitment experience, from either an in-house or agency background, and have the drive and resilience to deliver an excellent service to candidates and clients. The ability to establish new and lasting relationships with key stakeholders across Police and Fire will be essential.
The nature of the work is very sensitive and attention to detail is vital in all areas. As such, previous experience of working within a sensitive and confidential environment would be desirable.
