West Yorkshire Police is seeking to recruit 7 Duties Planners, with the overall purpose of serving the public of West Yorkshire by ensuring that optimum operational staffing levels are maintained, the main function of the Unit is to actively manage resources within the C.A.R.M resource management system.
The team is at the heart of the organisation – it provides a high quality, resource planning service for all Police Officers and Police Staff. This is a varied and challenging role where planning and organisational skills will help you in identifying resources for events across West Yorkshire. Sourcing Police Officers for large public events, such as the Leeds Festival, sporting events or local and national protests and demonstrations. You will ensure that the patrol teams, neighbourhood policing teams, and all other critical and specialist roles have the optimum staffing levels required.
Successful candidates will be competent in the use of a range of computer applications including Microsoft Office. Candidates will also have the ability and the willingness to undertake training in the use of workforce management and other Force IT systems.
This role is Monday – Friday and is part of the force flexi-time scheme, it is office based at Leeds District Headquarters. Opportunities for future hybrid working may be available subject to performance and availability.
