Job Title: RaSP Quartermaster Project Support

Salary: The starting salary is £36,228, which includes allowances totalling £3,009

The salary is broken down as £33,219 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £35,541 Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Lambeth

RaSP provides personal close protection to members of the Royal Family and Ministerial VIPs in the UK and abroad. They also provide protection to various foreign dignitaries visiting the UK and are responsible for protecting Royal residences in London, Windsor and Scotland.

Purpose of Role:

The Quartermaster team are responsible for the daily management of kit and equipment issued to all officers across the command (including SEG, Residential and CP), as well as maintaining first aid equipment and medical Bergen’s. As the needs of the business change, so does the kit and equipment to ensure officers can complete their role in the most efficient way possible. This will often result in projects being run to identify options, conduct testing, gather feedback and placing orders – all while working with our internal partners in commercial services and uniform services.

Work Involves:

The role of Quartermaster Project Support will be essential in the smooth running of these projects, ensuring swift completion and proper governance from conception to delivery. This will also include being present at attending meetings, taking minutes, recording actions and decisions and following up with stakeholders. The role will be based at Lambeth HQ, however there will be opportunities to travel to other RaSP locations. Further to this, large scale events could also create a need for extended tours and overnight lodging.

  • Strong at working within partnerships.
  • Willing to undertake WIO training to cover Lambeth armoury for leave/sickness.
  • Being able to attend events outside MPD.
