Rural Crime Equine Assistant (Volunteer)

Applications are sought for two Volunteer Rural Crime Equine Assistants. This is an exciting volunteer role that would suit those with equine skills and experience. 

Volunteer hours will be flexible. Travel will be required, so a full, clean driving licence is required for this role. 

For this particular volunteer vacancy, we are keen to recruit those that have knowledge of and the ability to operate within the Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon areas of the Force.

Volunteers will be required to:

    • Utilise specific skills, experience and local knowledge to support the North Wales Police Rural Crime Teams with equine crime prevention and education.
    • Complete tasks allocated by the NWP Volunteer Equine Advisor and Rural Crime Team Sergeant.  
    • Attend rural events such as agricultural shows, along with NWP Rural Crime Team. 
    • Support Rural Crime Team with equine crime prevention and safety initiatives, tack-marking and sign-ups to NWP Community Alerts.
    • Support local operations that focus on equine and rider road safety. 
    • Be visible and engaging in local communities, attending local groups and livery yards.
