The current CAIT shift pattern is under review with the intention reducing the requirement for CAIT to cover across hubs.
We are seeking passionate and skilled Detectives to join our esteemed Child Abuse Investigation Team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and sensitive investigations into cases involving inter-familial and position of trust child abuse, where the child is under 18 at the time of reporting.
- Collaborate with a partner agencies including social workers, medical staff, and legal professionals, to secure the best outcome for the child.
- Consider and apply Achieving Best Evidence for interviews of victims and witnesses.
- Conduct challenging and considered interviews with suspects.
- Remain current with developments in child protection to ensure the best service is offered.
Qualifications and Skills
- Accredited Detective Constable – PIP2 qualified.
- Ability to handle sensitive and distressing situations with empathy and professionalism.
