West Yorkshire Police is looking to appoint three Police Decision Maker Administrators to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to the department in accordance with policy and legislation within the prosecution team.
You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to operational officers and staff in the transmission of case files to CPS. You will access, input, track and extract data/information from various Force computer systems, ensuring effective, accurate and timely service delivery in accordance with force policy, procedures and legislation.
The successful candidate will ideally possess a basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice system and demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills, combined with good IT literacy skills and the ability to use MS Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook. In addition, you must ideally be able to travel for business purposes and you must work flexibly to suit the needs of the team.
Successful candidates will be subject to Management Vetting.
The successful candidate will then work between the Police Headquarters at Wakefield HQ. Once initial training has been completed, shifts will commence and will consist of a shift pattern working over 7 days followed by Rest days:
E.g. of shift pattern: 4 earlies, 3 lates, 4 rest days > 3 earlies 4 lates 3 rest days – Repeat.
Work includes weekend and bank holidays. Which attracts a shift allowance and weekend enhancement. Monday – Sunday 0700hrs – 1600hrs earlies and 1400hrs – 2200hrs lates on a rota basis.
