ANPR Researcher
Operational Support, Wakefield Headquarters
One full-time police staff post on shifts of consisting of 37hrs (weekly) with 14% shift allowance and weekend working.
The shifts consists of 3 earlies - 0800 x 1600hrs, 3 lates - 1600 x 0100hrs and then 3 rest days.
The Role:
As the RPU Tasking researcher you will be working within the ANPR office, joining a high performing team, developing intelligence to provide Road Policing Teams with the necessary information for them to be able to take illegal drivers off the road and support the Force's Fatal 5 and Vision Zero strategies - preventing death and serious injuries to road users in West Yorkshire.
Working within the ANPR office is demanding at times and requires commitment and enthusiasm to support and lead on intelligence lead Policing. The ANPR systems and capabilities are advanced and recognised as such nationally - you will be working with the latest in technology and capabilities.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of research and the ability to identify the intelligence that is suitable for development and tasking to Roads Policing Teams.
- Possess good literacy skills utilising Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel along with more specific systems for ANPR.
- Monitor and maintain ongoing intelligence products updating as and when necessary to ensure that both intelligence and operational staff have all the relevant information available.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
