We are a small, specialist practitioner team of Occupational Health Advisers and Counsellors, who take great pride in delivering a range of high quality occupational health services, health surveillance programs, psychological support and health promotion activity; with the aim to support the health and wellbeing of our police officers and staff.
The Wellbeing Occupational Health Nurse Advisor role is varied and will see you undertaking case management in person and over the phone, providing specialist occupational health advice to line managers and HR. This nurse led department ensures specialist clinical skills and experience provide expert assessments and solutions that will help the organisation to better support employees, making a real difference to their lives every working day and beyond. In addition we have excellent technology in place to support you in your role, with a high quality case management system.
This role provides great opportunities to not only work from the Wellbeing Unit based in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, but also at sites across the Force area, enhancing your ability to engage with our staff and officers. The post holder will predominantly be based at Saltburn and usual hours of work are Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm. To assist with work life balance you will also be able to work in line with our flexi time policy and on occasion work from home (where operational requirements allow). We are seeking candidates who are flexible and responsive as the nature of this post does mean travelling will make up part of your working week and therefore the ability to meet travel requirements to locations across the whole of the force area is essential.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified and registered nurse, a diploma or degree in Occupational Health is preferable, but experience of working in an occupational health setting and an ability to demonstrate knowledge of case management and health surveillance is crucial; with an understanding of the positive contribution of Occupational Health provides to organisations. Applicants must be able to undertake audio and vision screening, immunisations, vaccinations and blood tests.
