The Role
As a Business Support Assistant, you will work within the Estates and Business Services Directorate, providing a comprehensive administrative support function to a wide range of Districts and Departments across the West Yorkshire Police Force.
Key duties include:
- Processing police and police staff overtime by coding claims to appropriate budgets
- Authorising requests for goods, services, equipment and consumables
- Issuing petty cash and maintaining accurate records
- Receipting of cash, including banking of monies
- Booking accommodation, travel, and car hire
- Managing the database for clothing lockers, Airwave, and PAVA spray and issuing keys
- Reception duties
- Sorting and distribution mail and co-ordinating stock deliveries
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels of stationery, operational equipment and supplies
- Facilitating a department mailbox by responding to a diverse range of requests and queries
- Conduct engagement visits with different departments and Districts throughout the Force

What We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have previous experience in a customer focused environment and can demonstrate good communication skills
- Can demonstrate strong levels of personal responsibility
- Possess good IT literacy skills including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Has the ability to complete relevant training including Manual Handling and DSE Assessor
- Has a basic understanding of General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
