As part of the team working in the Specialist Crime Division you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of Intelligence Support to our officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities -
Provide supervision, support, and guidance to a specialist team of officers/staff (SPoCs) involved in the formulation and submission of applications to partners (including Scottish Government, Home Office, and Telecoms Operators) as governed by the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and in support of the investigation of Serious and Organised Crime/Major Crime.
You will have responsibility for ensuring that such applications are completed to a high standard and are compliant with the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (IPA) and associated Codes of Practice as well as identifying any reportable errors and taking appropriate action to address these.
You will also require to achieve/hold Telecommunications Single Point of Contact (SPoC) accreditation in line with national standards and to attain or hold National Security Developed Vetting (DV).
This role will be Monday-Friday 0800-1600.
