Do you want to support and inspire young people while developing your own skills?
Nottinghamshire Police is seeking passionate individuals to become Volunteer Police Cadet Leaders - helping young people grow in confidence, learn new skills, and build positive relationships with policing.

What’s Involved?
Cadets meet in the evening weekly (term time only), where you’ll:
- Lead, support and mentor young people in a structured environment
- Deliver engaging sessions
- Help organise guest speakers and external experiences
- Support cadets at community events and volunteering opportunities
You may also support wider activities such as:
- Community engagement events
- Public safety initiatives
- Day trips and activities
Could This Be You?
You can:
- Commit time to a local cadet unit (min 4 hours per month)
- Encourage, motivate and guide young people
- Be part of a supportive and rewarding team
- Contribute positively to your community
You have:
- Enthusiasm and the ability to commit your time regularly (min 2 sessions a month term time only)
- The ability to supervise and support a group of young people to achieve their goals
- Basic IT skills and can communicate your availability reliably
You are:
- Aged 18 or over and have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
- Enthusiastic and reliable
- Interested in developing new skills
- Curious about policing and community work
No previous policing experience is required, just the right attitude and commitment.

- Weekly term time sessions - approx. 2 hours
- All applicants are subject to vetting
