  • Supporting the Volunteer Strategy and Engagement Manager to achieve objectives set out in strategy and delivery plans
  • Engaging directly with volunteers through face-to-face visits and virtual communication to ensure they feel connected and valued, proactively supporting wellbeing and retention
  • Assisting with recruitment activity, including promoting opportunities and engaging with prospective volunteers
  • Managing volunteer data, ensuring accurate tracking of hours, participation, and engagement
  • Providing support across all volunteer strands, including with recruitment, training, induction, and exit processes
  • Supporting the delivery of the Volunteer Police Cadet Programme, including attending sessions and developing resources
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to maximise volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinating reward and recognition activities to celebrate volunteer contributions
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling day-to-day administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and filing

This role is essential in ensuring our volunteers feel valued, supported, and able to contribute effectively. By enabling a positive and well-managed volunteer experience, you will directly impact the quality of service delivery across the force, strengthen community relationships, and help create a volunteer workforce that reflects and serves the public.
