Vetting Administrative Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a Vetting Administrative Officer to provide essential administrative support to the Force Vetting Unit. This role is key to delivering a professional, efficient, and compliant vetting service for everyone working with or on behalf of Lincolnshire Police, including employees, partners, contractors, and external agencies.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will manage the day-to-day administration of vetting processes, ensuring applications are processed accurately and in line with Vetting Authorised Professional Practice (APP). This includes reviewing and quality assuring applications, maintaining records on the vetting system (Core-Vet), coordinating renewals and reviews, and producing reports when required.
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for vetting enquiries, liaising with internal departments and external partners, providing advice and guidance, and ensuring all vetting requirements are met. You will also monitor vetting renewals, manage inbox queries, handle telephone enquiries, and maintain up-to-date and compliant vetting records.

Why This Role Matters

This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity, security, and compliance of the organisation. By ensuring all personnel are appropriately vetted and records are accurately maintained, you help protect the force, its partners, and the public, supporting safe and effective policing.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused individual with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You’ll be confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, able to provide clear guidance, and committed to working with accuracy and discretion.
