About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Auto‑Electrician to join our busy vehicle workshop, supporting a diverse fleet of police cars and vans. This is a hands-on technical role where high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism are essential. You will play a key part in ensuring our vehicles are reliable, safe, and fit for operational use.
This role offers a Market Supplement of up to £5k
We are holding two Open Days to offer candidates an insight into the role and to meet the team:
Tuesday 16th June: 16:30-19:30
Thursday 18th June: 16:30 to 19:30

What You’ll Be Doing
- Repairing and replacing damaged or faulty electrical components
- Designing, installing, and commissioning specialist electrical systems
- Carrying out routine servicing, diagnostics, MOT preparation, and mechanical repairs
- Decommissioning vehicles and safely recovering specialist police equipment for reuse
- Road testing vehicles and equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Completing accurate job documentation and supporting apprentice training
- Working independently with minimal supervision while complying with health and safety standards
