TriM/Peer Support Coordinator

Hours: Full-time, Permanent
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a TRiM Peer Action Coordinator to lead the coordination of trauma risk management and peer support activity across the organisation.

This is an important role within the wellbeing offer, supporting officers and staff who may be affected by traumatic incidents through timely, structured and appropriate support. The post holder will coordinate Wiltshire Police’s TRiM provision, peer supporter network, Oscar Kilo Dogs programme and associated training activity, helping to ensure a consistent and proactive approach to workforce wellbeing.

The role will involve close working with Occupational Health, line managers and wider internal and external stakeholders to support a joined-up approach to trauma-informed wellbeing.

What you will be doing 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of trauma-related wellbeing activity, including:

  • Managing TRiM referrals and supporting post-incident wellbeing processes
  • Coordinating TRiM practitioners, peer supporters and Oscar Kilo Dogs provision
  • Maintaining oversight of trauma-related data, referrals, practitioner coverage and training capacity
  • Supporting the development of trauma-informed practice across the organisation
  • Delivering awareness sessions, briefings and presentations to managers and teams
  • Contributing to force-wide wellbeing resources, guidance and service development in line with national Oscar Kilo standards

About you and your experience 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Formal qualifications related to mental health or TRiM.
  • Completion of TRiM Foundation or Advanced level training (or willingness to become trained within 6 months).
  • Experience of working in environments with mental health support needs, especially within the blue light services, and delivering training and workshops.
  • Experience with managing confidential information and supporting teams in high-stress settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and coordinate initiatives across different departments.
  • Qualifications in project management, teaching, or Mental Health First Aid would be desirable.
