We are seeking passionate, resilient and professional Detective Constables to join our Child Protection Investigation Team. This is a unique opportunity to undertake some of the most challenging, rewarding and meaningful work in policing.

The Role
You will investigate a wide range of offences involving children, including:
- Child abuse and neglect investigations.
- Serious assaults involving children.
- Child sexual abuse.
- Multi-agency safeguarding enquiries.
- Sudden and unexplained child death
You will manage complex investigations, engage with victims and families, work with partner agencies and prepare high-quality case files for prosecution.

Am I eligible?
To apply as a Transferee as part of Alliance policing you must:
- Be a serving Police Officer in a Home Office Force.
- Have satisfactorily completed the period of probationary service in the rank of constable.
- Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
Onboarding

- You will be required to complete and pass a role-based interview which will focus on the competencies and values required for the role.

- Appointment will be dependent upon successfully passing pre-employment checks, vetting, and medical, which will include a drugs test and a fitness test.
