Derbyshire Constabulary are looking for Transferee Constables to join our SOLO team.
Play a vital part in our response to sexual offences by delivering specialist support to victims and working closely with our RASSO partners!
We have opportunities within both our North and South Teams where as a Sexual Offences Liaison Officer you will provide a sensitive and compassionate approach to victim engagement, from the outset of the investigation through to the conclusion, providing a consistent point of contact throughout.
You will support the victim to gather evidence, working alongside partnership agencies to deliver effective safeguarding in a timely manner, whilst maintaining trust and confidence.
What you’ll be doing:
- You must have experience of interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects.
- You will provide initial attendance to reports of penetrative sexual assaults and allegations of Rape for victims 18+ to collect and gather evidence during the initial stages of an investigation.
- You will support the management of crime scenes.
- You will complete and record risk assessments, listen and ensure appropriate support is in place.
Please ensure you meet the transferee eligibility requirements which are:-
- Be a member of a Home Office force or Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or Police Scotland (please note we cannot accept an application to transfer from an officer serving with a non-Home Office police force).
- Have a full manual driving licence.
- Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
