Forensic Collision Investigator
Do you have strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset?
This is an opportunity to work in a specialist policing role investigating serious and fatal collisions.
The Role
Youll attend collision scenes, analyse evidence and reconstruct events. Your findings will support criminal, coronial and civil proceedings, and you will be required to give evidence in court.
The Team
The Forensic Collision Reconstruction Unit (FCRU) provides 24/7 coverage across the force area, with a base in Atherton, Wigan (there is potential expansion to Chadderton).
Key Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Ability to produce clear, accurate reports
- Confidence presenting evidence in court or to professional audiences
- Good communication and IT skills
Training
Full specialist training provided, including residential courses and ongoing professional development.
