Full Job Title: Constable - Digital Media Investigator

Roles Available: 

1 - DMI based in Shrewsbury
1 - DMI based in either Shrewsbury or Telford
1 - Force operations DMI based across the Force with some travel to Defford required

There is a digital element in almost all criminal investigations and the requirement for digital support and expertise will only increase in the coming years. All crime seemingly now has an online or digitally enabled element and it is the main role of the Digital Media Investigation team to unpick and make sense of these elements. The role will involve gathering digital intelligence and supporting proactive / reactive investigations where digital technology and data acquisition opportunities exist.

The role involves becoming an accredited Digital Media Investigator through training and continued professional
development as well as various other skills relating to data analysis and the collection of digital evidence.

This role is suited to someone who has the ability to quickly and accurately review, analyse and present material from a wide range of sources.They will also demonstrate a naturally inquisitive, investigative mindset with a keen attention to detail.
