Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNWs mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
The postholder will be responsible for CTPNWs surveillance capabilities. These capabilities include mobile surveillance teams, the CTPOR, the Technical Surveillance Unit and Surveillance planning. The postholder will report to the Det Supt Head of Ops Support and will represent CTPNW at national level.
The role will be based within the GMP force area but will involve and require occasional work out of region.
The role offers the chance to shape the surveillance capability within the North West region and nationally. Over and above the day-to-day management of the department, as surveillance lead for North West, the post-holder will be involved in key operational requirements and often act as SME to Senior Investigating Officers.
