Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNWs mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
Undercover policing is a proportionate, lawful and ethical tactic that is effective in obtaining evidence and intelligence to identify and disrupt those involved in terrorism or threats to National Security.
Whilst this role is primarily online, there will be a requirement to be able to deploy real world.
This is a dynamic and exciting role which will involve working with a range of police departments and partner agencies which requires excellent communication and decision-making skills with the ability to identify threat, harm and risk.
In order to respond to investigative or safety requirements the post requires working various locations with some unsociable hours at short notice.
This post will be subject to successful accreditation for the essential criteria in the JD (A5 and A9 can be obtained following successful shortlisting but will be required to retain post). As per all undercover roles, it is subject to risk-based tenure and APP guidelines including psychological support.
