Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNWs mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism.
We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
This is an excellent opportunity for a police officer interested in being part of CTPNW. You will need to be keen, outgoing and able to work both on your own and as part of a team.
As an Intelligence Development officer, you will be part of a small team involved in a variety of workstreams to support other departments such the Fixed Intelligence Management Unit (FIMU). The work involves;
The research and development of subjects that may be of interest to CTPNW. This includes utilising local systems such as PNC/PND and IOPS.
Completing outside enquiries such as debriefing individuals and completing reports. You should be able to write thorough reports, which provide detailed information and intelligence to establish threats, risk, harm and opportunity.
CCTV enquiries and collecting media, which may be relevant for CTPNW. This could involve out of force enquiries.
Reviewing of media storage devices to develop intelligence. This may involve looking at sometimes graphic or disturbing content.
You will be working as part of a small team consisting of 5 officers and one Sergeant. The role is primarily 7am-3pm Monday to Friday based at FHQ with parking and close to public transport links.
