About the team/Department you will be joining:
The Fingerprint Bureau is part of the Tri-Force Forensic Alliance covering both South Wales and Gwent Police, based in SWP Headquarters in Bridgend, CF31 3SU.
The post is a flexible working hours post.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
The Trainee Assistant Fingerprint Officer will deal with the basic administration and processing of Fingerprint Forms submitted to the Fingerprint Bureau and assist in maintaining the National Fingerprint Collection. The successful candidate will provide overall administrative support on a multi-functional basis to contribute to the smooth running of the Department/Force.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
- Must display high levels of attention to detail.
- Must be a sound decision maker with the ability to work independently.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
