About the Opportunity:

Transferee – Forensic Collision Investigations 

We have an exciting opportunity within the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit for a PC  to join the team. 

The post is open to Forensic Collision Investigators, Police Constables who are trained and hold the relevant qualifications.  

 The primary purpose of the Forensic Collision Investigation role is to deploy to scenes of fatal and life threatening collisions; examine, record and recover forensic evidence using informed professional judgement whilst complying with force and local procedures; analyse, evaluate and interpret evidence; provide expert opinion through written reports and presenting evidence at court. 

 The post holder will work within an environment where they will be exposed to distressing scenes or material on a regular basis. 

 Courses will be paid for by the organisation and therefore post holders are required to sign a post-entry training agreement to ensure the organisation obtains value for the investment in the professional development of post holders.

Am I eligible?

To apply as a Transferee as part of Alliance policing you must:

  • Be a serving Police Officer in a Home Office Force.
  • Have satisfactorily completed the period of probationary service in the rank of constable.
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.
