Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship | Earn While You Learn

Are you ready to start your career while gaining a nationally recognised qualification?

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our Lighthouse Victim & Witness Care Team as Team Support Officer Apprentices. This is an exciting opportunity to achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship while gaining valuable workplace experience in a professional and supportive environment.

The successful applicant will commence on a scale 2 salary which equates to £24,747 per annum.

The Team Support Officer Apprentice role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy professional environment where your work will help ensure victims and witnesses receive a high-quality service throughout the criminal justice process.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll learn how to provide effective administrative support, manage information, coordinate activities and communicate with a range of internal departments and external partner organisations. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys learning, problem-solving and developing new skills.

What will you be doing?

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll gain experience in a range of business administration activities, including:

  • Managing team inboxes, workflows and administrative tasks.
  • Supporting the allocation and monitoring of work across teams.
  • Processing referrals and assisting with case management activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and information systems.
  • Learning how to analyse information and identify actions on police systems.
  • Producing professional documents, reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Supporting communication between departments and partner organisations.
  • Assisting with case administration and information management processes.
  • Developing excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be supported to build confidence in workplace systems, business processes and professional communication.

Skills and experience required:

You do not need previous policing experience. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn, develop professionally and build a career in business administration.

This apprenticeship is designed for people who want to gain new skills, knowledge and experience in a supportive workplace. As this is a development opportunity, it is intended for applicants who have not already achieved a Business Administration qualification, or a similar qualification, at the same level or higher. We are looking for potential, motivation and a willingness to learn, rather than extensive experience in a similar role.

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude towards learning and personal development.
  • Confidence using computers and digital technology.
  • An ability to manage your time and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Additional Information:

You must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the role.

Desirable but not essential - grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
