About the Role

We are seeking a Taser Trainer to join our specialist training team, responsible for designing, developing and delivering high-quality Taser training to Lincolnshire Police officers. Working in line with College of Policing standards, Authorised Professional Practice (APP) and the national Taser curriculum, you will help ensure officers are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to use Taser safely, ethically and effectively in operational policing.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing, developing and delivering engaging Taser training in both classroom and practical environments.
Delivering initial and refresher training programmes that comply with national guidance and force policy.
Assessing officer performance and supporting learners to achieve and maintain operational competence.
Contributing to wider operational training activities, including Personal Safety, Public Order, Method of Entry and First Aid.
Monitoring Taser use, identifying learning opportunities and providing professional advice and reporting.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to share best practice and promote continuous improvement.
Maintaining your own professional knowledge and operational competence through ongoing development.

This role is predominantly based on site at headquarters as you will be delivering training, but there is scope to work elsewhere when preparing training materials.

As part of the interview process, we will ask candidates to deliver a 10–15 minute lesson to the panel on a topic, which will be provided when you are invited to interview. We do not expect this to be a fully developed training session; instead, this will give you an opportunity to demonstrate:

Your ability to prioritise content within the time constraints
Your ability to communicate effectively with the specified audience
