Supplies Apprentice

At North Wales Police we have a great opportunity for an Apprentice with our Supplies team to provide general administration and support.

To obtain a solid grounding in warehousing and storage within North Wales Police and to work towards the completion of a NVQ level 2 in Warehousing and Storage. The training programme will include general administration within the designated business area within North Wales Police.

Key accountabilities for the Supplies Apprentice opportunity include:

  • Assist with issue of uniform items to new recruits.
  • Assist with inventory stock checks throughout the year.
  • Undertake general stores area maintenance including stock relocation, movement of goods from the loading bay and ensuring safe and tidy work areas.
  • Collate information held on Force systems for the Supplies Manager as required.
  • To maintain effective and efficient databases.
  • Data inputting and processing utilising a variety of any required IT packages. Training will be provided for any bespoke Force packages.
  • Work closely with other team members to support various functions and contribute to team objectives.

You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:

  1. 4 GCSE’s at Grade C or above or equivalent level of qualification (to include Maths and English) for those awaiting their GCSE Results please provide predicted grades.
  2. IT skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office or similar IT packages.
  3. Good communication skills.
  4. The ability to work well in a team.
  5. Self-motivated and flexible.
