The principal responsibility of the Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) Taskforce Strategic National Delivery Manager is to develop and coordinate activities, supervising and quality assuring work from the Regional Coordinators and the OIC Peer Review Team, Guidance, Training and INSIGHT Reform Team. Lead strategic stakeholder engagement across law enforcement and partner agencies to negotiate and get buy-in on changes to establish, improve and overcome national issues in areas of Organised Immigration Crime (OIC).
In particular to:
- Lead and manage the delivery of the OICDT National Action Plan to transform the policing response to OIC.
- Provide regular reviews and benchmarking at a national level of progress towards the National Action Plan reporting to the SRO.
- Quality assures all reporting produced by the teams the post line manages, acting as the conduit between regional, and national programme activity.
- Represent the programme at national meetings/events/working groups as required. Build partnerships, policies, and networks to strengthen the law enforcement response to the threat of OIC and respond to issues as they arise.
- Strategic decision maker for OIC workstreams. Negotiate with other agencies to achieve buy-in, represent policing during decision making to establish, deliver and improve areas of OIC.
- Manage the development of new and ongoing workstreams relating to policing OIC, as detailed in the unit’s business plan.
