We’re looking for an influential and highly organised Staffordshire Forensic Partnership Coordinator to support a unique collaboration between Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire University. This role sits at the heart of a nationally recognised partnership, connecting academic insight with frontline forensic practice to improve community safety and drive excellence across the justice system.

This is your opportunity to join a forward‑thinking partnership that is shaping the future of forensic science—locally, nationally and internationally. You’ll be part of a dynamic environment where innovation, learning, and high‑quality forensic practice come together to safeguard communities and improve outcomes from crime scene to court.

Working with both University and Police specialists, you’ll help drive pioneering research, support specialist training, coordinate impactful projects, and strengthen networks across academia, policing and the forensic community. You will join a team that values curiosity, collaboration and continuous improvement, giving you the freedom to bring new ideas, influence strategy, and contribute directly to raising forensic standards.

If you’re motivated by meaningful work, variety, autonomy and the chance to shape real‑world outcomes, this role offers a rare and rewarding opportunity.

As the Staffordshire Forensic Partnership Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Partnership to achieve its mission of safeguarding communities through forensic excellence. You will act as a central point of coordination, helping to deliver projects, enhance collaboration, and strengthen the Partnership’s presence and impact.

Key responsibilities include:

Driving partnership activity by coordinating project teams, planning student placement programmes (including vetting and induction), and supporting governance, risk, financial and performance reporting.

Supporting strategic development, including planning the funding pipeline, assisting funding applications, and identifying emerging opportunities through environmental scanning.

Promoting and strengthening the SFP brand through communications, marketing, digital presence, social media activity and enhancement of the SFP website.

Building strong partnerships across policing, academia and the wider forensic community, facilitating collaboration and knowledge‑sharing.

Supporting community engagement, helping the Partnership extend its reach and impact across Staffordshire and beyond.

In this role, you will help shape innovative forensic initiatives, enhance training and development opportunities, and contribute to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based forensic services.
