Part-time 15 hours, permanent, based at Workington

Applicants are invited for the position of Warrants Assistant based at West Cumbria Police AHQ, Workington.

 

The successful applicants will need to evidence of being an analytical person and demonstrate effective communication when dealing internal and external agencies.

 

The position is on a day shift pattern 15 hours/2 days a week.

 

As a member of the Warrants Unit, under the supervision of the PNC Manager and Warrants Team Leader, you will ensure that Cumbria Constabulary’s warrants, wanted persons, CICA’S, forfeiture orders, recall/UAL, breach of bail EMS and witness summonses are actioned within the boundaries of legislation and policy whilst ensuring HMIC guidelines are followed. To provide clerical and administrative support to ensure operational officers carry out the execution of warrants and witness summons within each BCU in timely manner. Ensure data returns are completed in relation to warrants and PNC wanted files. As a Central Unit we need to be the subject matter experts for the whole force and ensure accuracy as without this there may be an impact on public safety.

 

Ensuring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in the administration of warrants. (Failure may lead to wrongful arrest). Ensure that all possible checks are made to execute warrants and wanted persons within specified guidelines and that Cumbria protocols are carried out in respect of warrants. Ensuring that Warrants are executed in a timely fashion.

Salary £25,278 – pro rota (15 hrs a week/2 days a week)

 

Working Monday will be one of the 2 days required, and the other day is open to negotiation depending on the applicant’s circumstances.
