Are you passionate about protecting communities and reducing the risk posed by individuals who exhibit concerning sexual or violent behaviours?

Northamptonshire Police is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join the MOSOVO (Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders) team as a PDP Risk Management Officer on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

This unique role focuses on supporting the management and disruption of individuals within Northamptonshire who have demonstrated sexual or violent behaviours but who do not currently fall within statutory offender management arrangements. Working as part of the MOSOVO team, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities to reduce risk, safeguard victims and vulnerable people, and support effective multi-agency interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, assessment and management of PDP nominals across Northamptonshire.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and external partner agencies.
  • Gather, review and assess information and intelligence to identify emerging risks and opportunities for intervention.
  • Coordinate disruption and safeguarding activity to reduce the likelihood of further offending.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to risk management plans.
  • Support MOSOVO's wider objectives in protecting the public and preventing harm.

About You

We are looking for an organised, proactive and resilient individual who can work independently while contributing positively to a specialist safeguarding team.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience of working within policing, criminal justice, safeguarding, offender management or a related field.
  • Strong communication and partnership working skills.
  • The ability to analyse information, assess risk and make proportionate recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
