At Cumbria Constabulary, the way we treat data and information is core to preventing and detecting crime and protecting the vulnerable.

We are seeking a Data and Information Privacy Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a high-impact critical role that isn’t just about data protection compliance, it is a role that can influence how we protect people and the data and information we handle.

The role holder will be responsible for leading a team of specialists to continually improve the quality, protection, accessibility and integrity of data, whilst enabling innovation and transformation.

.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills, inspiring commitment from colleagues. Experience in the application of data protection legislation, preferably law enforcement and be able to demonstrate information security incident and data breach response strategies. They will be a confident decision maker, excellent communicator and a problem solver with the ability to untangle complex challenges and identify solutions.
