We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team at Cumbria Constabulary as a Business Development Analyst (BDA).

.

Cumbria Constabulary is at the forefront of delivering organisational and technology-enabled change, and our team plays a key role in supporting a wide range of programmes and projects across the force.

.

We are seeking confident, collaborative and enthusiastic individuals to support the delivery of a range of programmes and projects. These may include both organisational (business) change initiatives and technology-enabled projects. Working within the Organisational Change function, you will work closely with Project and Programme Managers, with support from Portfolio Managers.

The role will involve activities such as:

.

  • Business process analysis
  • Requirements gathering and documentation
  • Supporting system testing
  • Assisting with the introduction of new systems and ways of working

Strong interpersonal and engagement skills, alongside a willingness to learn, are essential for success in this role.

Working Arrangements

.

  • We are recruiting to multiple temporary posts, with contracts available for up to 2 years.
  • Roles are full-time (37 hours per week).
  • The role is based at Cumbria Constabulary HQ in Penrith, with opportunities for hybrid and remote working, subject to service needs.
  • The role operates in line with the Constabulary’s Flexible Working and Flexitime policies, offering flexibility in working patterns and hours, subject to line manager discretion and service needs.

We are recruiting to multiple temporary roles for up to 2 years. Please indicate in your application which opportunity you are applying for:

1) Business Development Analyst (Scale 6)

.

£33,603 – £35,772

  • Various temporary positions (for up to 2 years)
  • Applicants must meet all essential criteria outlined in the role profile

.

2) Business Development Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship (Scale 5)

£30,333 – £32,613

  • Temporary for up to 2 years (to allow for completion of the apprenticeship)

.

Apprenticeship applicants must meet one of the following entry requirements:

.

  • A Level 3 qualification plus 12+ months work experience, OR
  • A business-related degree (e.g. business, finance, economics, maths), OR
  • A non-business-related degree plus 6+ months work experience, OR
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a Business Analysis or similar role
