Job Title: Specialist CT Forensic Trainer - Police Staff - CTP London
Salary: The starting salary is £45,207.75 which includes allowances totalling £3,009 and a 12.5% shift allowances.
The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a 12.5% shift allowance, location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Job Summary:
The Specialist CT Forensic Trainers sit within CTP London’s Forensic Management Team who manage all forensic submissions and strategies for CT investigations. The Trainers are responsible for the preparation and delivery of forensic training to the FMT as well as across the National CTP network. The team are also responsible for CPD ensuring operational compliance with the Forensic Service Regulator (FSR) codes of practice.
Key Tasks:
The post holder will be required to:
- Prepare & deliver National CT courses, specifically
- National CT Forensic Management course.
- National CT Investigators Scene Manager’s course.
- Prepare and deliver additional training including: Bomb Scene Management; Sterile Arrest; CT Search; Forensic awareness.
- Liaison with internal & external partners / stakeholders.
- Assist delivery of National exercising programme.
- Conduct CPD, audits & periodic SOP reviews for ISO Quality Management Team.
Key skills / criteria:
- Experience of CT investigations.
- Experience of CT/SOC crime scene and exhibit management.
- Training qualification. CET or equivalent.
- Experience of multi-agency working / exercising.
- MV/SC vetted.

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.
