We are looking for a talented commercial lawyer to join our highly respected Legal Services Branch. This is far more than a traditional contracts role. It is an opportunity to influence decisions at the highest levels of the organisation, support major transformation programmes, and help ensure that every pound of public money is spent effectively, ethically and in the best interests of the people of Greater Manchester.
Through expert and trusted advice on a diverse range of procurement, contracts and commercial matters, you will support the delivery of major programmes and essential services that enable GMP to respond to incidents, protect vulnerable people, tackle serious crime and deliver outstanding policing across Greater Manchester. Your work may not be on the frontline, but its impact will be felt across every part of the organisation and by the communities we serve. You will advise senior leaders across GMP and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). From complex procurement projects and strategic partnerships to high-value commercial agreements and contract disputes, your work will help enable the delivery of critical services that support basic policing across Greater Manchester.
