About the role

As Service Transition Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how new and enhanced digital, data and technology services are introduced across Wiltshire Police. Working at the heart of digital transformation, you will ensure services are secure, resilient, supportable and ready for operational use from day one. • Define and maintain service acceptance standards covering supportability, resilience, security, documentation, training and operational readiness.

  • Manage transition risks proactively, ensuring issues are identified, mitigated and escalated where required.
  • Drive continual improvement by using service metrics, assurance findings and lessons learned to enhance transition practices and standards.

About you and your experience

  • Experience supporting or leading service transition, change, release or service management activities within a Digital, Data and Technology environment.
  • A strong understanding of service acceptance, operational readiness and the successful introduction of services into live operation.
  • The ability to balance innovation, delivery pace and operational resilience to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
