About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Developer to play a key role within our Digital Strategy team, designing, developing, and maintaining critical software systems that support policing services. This is a hands-on, senior technical role where you’ll translate business needs into robust, secure, and accessible digital solutions that deliver real operational value.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, building, and maintaining multiple information systems used across the force
- Leading development across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment
- Writing clean, efficient code using technologies such as the .NET stack, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and T‑SQL
- Working closely with analysts, business owners, and technical teams to scope features and define requirements
- Designing and maintaining relational databases, integrations, and supporting documentation
- Guiding and mentoring Developer Analysts within the team
- Ensuring solutions meet required standards including accessibility, information security, GDPR, and cyber security

- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to lead, support colleagues, and engage stakeholders
- A strong commitment to accessibility, security, and the principles of the Police Code of Ethics
