 About the Opportunity

Staffordshire Police is looking for an influential Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping the running of the Financial Management team.

You will work collaboratively with another Senior Finance Business Partner and be responsible for providing strategic finance support to the organisation, influencing business decisions and shaping the business partnering service. 

Each Senior Finance Business Partner is aligned to a number of commands in line with Executive portfolios. 

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Overseeing the financial monitoring processes for the identified commands including consolidating and reviewing the group financial position; culminating in the writing of the monthly group finance report.
  • Leading the development of the budget setting process, including supporting with financial modelling as required.
  • Providing outstanding leadership and support to the roles aligned to you (Finance Business Partners, Finance Officers, Partnership & Income Manager) and be a member of the Finance department Senior Leadership Team.
  • Contributing to the development of business cases, service costings and cost-benefit analysis for revenue and capital projects.
  • Completion of a number of statutory financial returns.

The role is based at Staffordshire Police Headquarters, with the opportunity for agile working.  Our agile policy requires colleagues to attend their contractual place of work a minimum of 2 days per week, with additional days subject to business need.
