About the role 

As Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of complex and high-profile digital, data and technology products and services that support modern policing. Working across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you will create the conditions for delivery success, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, predictably and at pace. You will champion modern delivery practices, foster high-performing teams and use insight, innovation and evidence-based decision making to remove barriers and accelerate value. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how digital transformation is delivered across Wiltshire Police and drive meaningful outcomes for officers, staff and the public. 

What you will be doing  

  • Lead the delivery of complex, high-risk digital, data and technology products and services, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, effectively and at pace. 
  • Provide leadership across multiple teams, programmes or delivery workstreams, ensuring clear priorities, direction and delivery focus. 
  • Act as the senior escalation point for delivery risks, dependencies and issues, removing blockers and enabling progress across organisational boundaries. 
  • Establish effective delivery governance, providing transparency, assurance and confidence to senior leaders and stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with Business Users, Service Owners and other DDaT teams to ensure delivery plans are realistic, achievable and aligned to strategic priorities. 
  • Champion Agile, Lean and hybrid delivery approaches, selecting the most effective methods to achieve successful outcomes. 
  • Provide clear insight and reporting on delivery performance, risks, costs, dependencies and benefits, enabling informed decision-making. 
  • Coach and develop delivery professionals, building organisational capability and fostering high-performing, collaborative teams. 

 About you and your experience  

  • Passionate about delivering meaningful user outcomes through digital, data and technology products and services. 
  • Experienced in leading the delivery of complex, high-risk programmes, products or services within a digital or technology environment. 
  • Skilled at building strong relationships and influencing senior stakeholders in complex environments. 
  • Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, balancing pace, risk, dependencies and competing priorities to achieve successful outcomes. 
  • Passionate about modern delivery practices, continuous improvement and creating high-performing teams. 
  • Hold ITIL 4 Foundation certification. 
  • Hold ITIL 4 Managing Professional certification. 
  • Hold a recognised delivery or programme management certification, such as PRINCE2, MSP or AgilePM, and a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
