An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Force Intelligence Bureau as an Intelligence Analyst working within the Strategic Threats Team. The successful candidate will work with Analyst and Researcher colleagues to identify, develop and analyse data and intelligence to produce analytical products that direct decision making across the organisation and beyond.

The role is Career graded from Scale 6 to SO1/2 to reflect the high level of development that FIB analysts will experience as they become accredited, certified and competent in the many facets of this role. Training will be provided to achieve the initial National Analysts Accreditation and further development is supported to achieve the College Of Policing’s Intelligence Professional Portfolio Certification. The career grading structure and assessment is supported in parallel to the Intelligence Professional Portfolio work.
The role requires candidates to have 2 years previous experience of research and an ability to demonstrate the use of multi data sources in analysis, report writing and briefings to stakeholders.
Skills in Data Analysis, Use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point are essential. The recruitment process includes assessment of these skills, alongside the ability to use data & intelligence in line with policies, procedures and legislation. The candidates evidence will also be assessed through a panel interview based on Competency Value Framework.
