We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a passion for keeping communities safe to join our Firearms and Explosives Licensing Team at HQ Winsford.
In this interesting role you will act as a first point of contact for the general public, police officers and other stakeholder for advice on firearms legislation and home office guidance. In addition, you will be responsible for the vetting checks of all applicants and referees utilising police systems to ensure only those suitable are able to possess firearms/explosives. Renew and monitor those persons who come to police attention as a result of incidents or from a medical request and determine any further action required. Assess and process all applications in a timely and accurate manner ensuring that data is recorded in the national firearms licensing management system.
