Staffordshire Police’s Road Crime Team is seeking experienced transferees who are committed to making a real difference on our roads and in our communities.

About the Role

As part of the Road Crime Team, you will play a vital role in tackling serious and organised criminality linked to the road network, while working to reduce those who are killed or seriously injured (KSI).

This is a dynamic, intelligence‑led role requiring initiative, professionalism, and a strong operational mindset. You will be empowered to act decisively, disrupt criminal activity, and deliver visible results.

  • Are passionate about reducing road deaths and serious injuries and improving road safety outcomes

  • Work effectively as part of a team while also being confident operating independently

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted, intelligence‑led patrols to disrupt the criminal use of the road network
  • Identify, pursue, and bring to justice offenders linked to serious and organised criminality
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and partner agencies to maximise operational impact

Am I eligible?

To apply as a Transferee as part of Alliance policing you must:

  • Be a serving Police Officer in a Home Office Force.
  • Have satisfactorily completed the period of probationary service in the rank of constable.
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.

Onboarding

We aim to make our onboarding process as smooth and straightforward as possible.

  • You will be required to complete and pass a role-based interview which will focus on the competencies and values required for the role.
  • We would like to know what skills you have to offer so that we can identify the most appropriate posting for you.
  • Appointment will be dependent upon successfully passing pre-employment checks, vetting, and medical, which will include a drugs test and a fitness test.
