Key Responsibilities -
To review and assess relevant information held on police systems, compile reports, and share this and other information with internal and external partners in support of the Concern Hub function.
Applications are invited from Members of Police Staff interested in adopting the role of Research & Information Assessor as part of Risk & Concern Management, Public Protection Unit, based in Divisional Headquarters, Inverness.
The successful candidate will be required to collate information and intelligence from relevant internal and external sources; review, summarise, and prepare written reports for internal and external partners purposes, applying appropriate judgement to relevance, necessity, and accuracy and the legal parameters for lawful information sharing and data minimisation.
Applicants must be highly motivated and must be able to demonstrate strong problem solving, personal effectiveness and team working skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work closely with other agencies.
Applicants must be trained in the use of the interim Vulnerable Persons Database, CHS and PNC, and have a flexible approach to the role, which may on occasion be determined by the needs of the department.
Previous experience in the area of Public Protection is desirable, although not essential, as post holder role specific training is available.
