We currently have an opportunity to join Nottinghamshire Police Force Intelligence with a temporary post for the role of Intelligence Officer based at Sherwood Lodge in the Real Time Intelligence. The post shift pattern provides 24/7 coverage with 5 teams of 4 Intelligence Officers working principally in the Force Control Room.
Working within the 24/7 Intelligence Desk you will provide live intelligence support for incidents and crime in action working in the Force Control Room. The team are responsible for providing intelligence assessment, research, development and dissemination function working with the wider Intelligence Unit. You will be involved in the management and handling of sensitive intelligence products, information from other UK Police Forces and Law Enforcement agencies such as EMSOU, the NCA and international partners. You will be responsible for the effective co-ordination of intelligence management, providing live briefings to officers and operational staff, delivering ANPR intelligence and ensuring the safe handling of sensitive information on Police systems.
Applicants must have experience of both researching information from a variety of sources, as well as interrogating, maintaining and utilising data on a variety of computerised systems. They must be able to create succinct reports and present information in a variety of formats. A good understanding of IT applications and the ability to work both as part of a team, as well as alone, are key requirements.
