Rape and Sexual Offences Gateway Evidential Review Officer (RASO Gateway ERO)

Full time vacancy

This is a critical and highly specialist role at the forefront of improving outcomes in rape investigations. As a RASO Gateway Evidential Review Officer, you will champion excellence in case quality, ensuring investigations are comprehensive, resilient, and capable of meeting the highest levels of scrutiny.

With the role now expanding to include CAIU rape investigations alongside adult cases, you will play a pivotal role in driving consistent, high-quality investigative standards across both adult and child rape enquiries.

By elevating evidential standards and embedding best practice, you will directly influence stronger case progression, delivering improved victim outcomes, reducing delays, and supporting confident, timely prosecution decisions.

If you are a TVP employee and have you been in your current post for less than 12 months, you need to seek approval from your line manager to be eligible to apply for this role.

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.  Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable.  For this reason a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.

As part of the Thames Valley Police family, you will enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including 30 days annual leave per annum, pro-rata for part time (plus Bank Holidays), flexible working conditions, a wide range of lifestyle discounts, career development opportunities and have the option to join a local government pension scheme. For more information on our benefits, please visit the supporting you page, via the link at the bottom of the advert.
