Promotions Administrative Assistant (Grade C) People Branch (Ref: 641)

This role sits under the talent portfolio within the People Branch, responsible for day-to-day administration and coordination of police officer promotion processes.


The role provides administrative support for GMPs police officer promotion processes and Legal Knowledge and National Investigator Examinations (LKE and NIE) It also provides candidate coordinator support for all live promotion processes. 

This is not an agile role and you will be based at Sedgley Park with some requirement to cover senior promotion process coordination at Force Headquarters.

The candidate will have experience in the following areas:

 Microsoft Office.

 Maintaining and developing administrative systems including filing, keeping manual and computerised records and inputting information.

Performing administrative and organisational tasks and undertaking high volumes of transactional activity.  

 Handling information of a sensitive and confidential nature.

 Delivering a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.

 

Working to tight deadlines and setting priorities.

You will have strong communication skills and an ability to work under own initiative as appropriate
