An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to join the Programme Management Team supporting Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE).
In this vital role, you will provide day-to-day project support, helping to coordinate strategic initiatives that contribute to keeping communities safe and enabling operational teams to deliver effectively.

As a Project Support Officer, you will:
- Support the delivery of projects and programmes through the collection, analysis and management of project information and data.
- Assist Project and Programme Managers in maintaining project plans, documentation and governance records.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, record actions and minutes, and ensure follow-up activities are monitored and completed.
- Help identify and monitor project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Produce reports and updates that support informed decision-making at management level.
- Work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across regional policing environments.
We are seeking someone who can demonstrate:
- Previous administrative experience within a structured project management environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project and databases.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, produce reports and support problem-solving activities
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A PRINCE2 qualification, or willingness to work towards one, is essential for success in the role.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You will also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and those studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post
