We're looking for a Project Development Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of high-profile projects that directly support operational policing and the communities we serve. - Leading post-project reviews and sharing lessons learned
- Providing leadership, mentoring and development support to Project Officers within the team
- Supporting the implementation of security standards across projects
This role offers significant variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with senior leaders, specialist teams and external partners on projects that have a lasting impact across a substantial and diverse estate portfolio
What we're looking for
We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive project professional who can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
You will have:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- A recognised qualification in Project Management, Business Management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Membership of a professional body such as APM, or a qualification in physical protective security, would be advantageous
Why Join Us?
This is more than just a project management role. It's an opportunity to contribute to projects that support frontline policing, improve operational environments and help deliver lasting benefits for colleagues and communities alike.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.
