This role sits within a small, high‑performing team at the centre of organisational performance and improvement, providing analytical insight and evidence to support decision‑making at senior and executive level.
Working in a hybrid environment, the post holder will be exposed to a wide range of complex policing performance data, often operating across multiple workstreams at the same time. The role offers significant visibility, pace, and variety, with outputs frequently informing strategic discussions, external scrutiny, and improvement activity.
The successful candidate will be highly data and analytically minded, with a strong ability to extract, clean, analyse, and present complex information to a professional standard. They will be comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and presentations, applying appropriate research methodologies and maintaining clear, auditable analytical processes. Attention to detail, confidence in explaining data and findings, and the ability to balance competing demands are essential, as the work produced is relied upon by senior leaders within GMP.
