Transferee Opportunity – Police Officer
Transfer opportunities now available for experienced Police Officers to join South Wales Police.

We are particularly interested to receive applications from:
- Neighbourhood Officers
- Qualified Detectives
- Officers who reside in the Cardiff & Vale area
- Officers with specialist skill sets that are required for Critical roles within South Wales Police
Please note we will still consider application from Officers in other roles dependent on vacancies and organisational need.
Any officer interested in applying to transfer to South Wales Police on this basis must have successfully completed their probationary period at the appropriate rank to be able to show commitment to achieving high levels of attendance and performance.
If successful at eligibility stages, you will be required to undertake and be successful in the following:
- Interview
- Vetting checks
- Medical
- Fitness
- Biometric vetting (DNA and fingerprints/Drugs)
